T-bags ® started in 2001 as a handbag line after Shadi, a graduate of Boston University, and Su-Lyn, a graduate of Nottingham University in the United Kingdom, met while completing post-graduate degrees in merchandising and product development at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles. They both recognized that there was a lack of affordable yet inventive lines and so, while still in school, they began transforming vintage fabrics, suede and upholstery into stylish, chic and distinctive handbags. Quickly, they began selling to upscale boutiques and department stores, and since then it has evolved into an in-demand clothing line that still reflects their original mission.
T-bags ® crosses the border from retro and rock-star glamour to a unique blend of playful sophistication. Delivering distinctive pieces grounded in a sense of ingenuity and authenticity.
