Nieves Lavi
Sam N. Velez serves as Creative Director for Nieves Lavi. His responsibilities include research and development of all collections. Strategic development of the company and execution of its business plan and also serves as Head of Production.
Mr. Velez brings 10 years of Design, Technical Design and production experience to the Company. Prior to Co-Founding the Nieves Lavi brand, Mr. Velez served as Senior Designer for Harve Benard Ltd. Prior to that he served as Head Designer for DKNY Jeans, Mens Division, with other numerous freelance collaborations including: pattern making for Anna Sui, costume design for the theatre, and made to order pieces.
Mr Velez’ formal training was held at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, as well as Academia Isa in Madrid, Spain.
Sharon Lavi serves as Art Director for Nieves Lavi. Her responsibilities include conceptualizing and co-designing all collections for Nieves Lavi. As well as monitoring Quality Control standards. In addition, Ms. Lavi has the overall responsibility for developing the Companies activities, including Sales and Marketing.
Ms. Lavi brings 7 years of design, textile Design, Marketing and Accessory Design experience to the Company. Prior to co-founding the Nieves Lavi Brand, Ms. Lavi served as Senior Designer for Harve Benard. Prior to that she served as Designer for Ralph Lauren and Vera Wang, where she was also involved in accessory design.
Ms. Lavi’s formal training was held at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
