Blue Tattoo
From cult classic to a stylish staple, women, men and children have embraced tattoos as a fashion must with Blue Tattoo, the denim and knitwear collection inspired by the art of tattoos.
Launched in January 2002, husband and wife team Jim Shaffer and Marie Kennedy Shaffer combined his passion for tattoo art, motorcycles, muscle cars and the LA surf scene with her love of fashion, a long established showroom experience and sales expertise to create a collection that is edgy enough to be interesting, trendy enough to be fashionable, and sophisticated enough to be timeless.
The growth of Blue Tattoo as a brand has been a slow evolution of sorts. Great care and consideration has been put into the fits and fabrics used to make the products. Where as it seems in today’s fast changing fashion world, short lived trends and gimmicks seem to be the driving force of many company’s, Blue Tattoo has taken the time and effort needed to get the basics right and let the trends evolve around a great product. It’s easy to slap some sort of bling on a garment or a cool wash process. But if the fit isn’t right on the money or the fabric isn’t the best available you really are just another flash-in-the-pant.
