Méli-Mélo Jeans introduced its first collection in June 2004 and since the very beginning has received praise for the design and quality of its denim line.

In each collection meli melo remains true to the philosophy and inspiration that motivated the company to start and to create a denim line that has everything it likes but could not find in others. To meli melo, the perfect pair of jeans is a beautifully fitting pair of jeans with a vintage upscale flair. Even with its more casual styles, meli melo still wanted its customers to feel that they’re not wearing just any pair of jeans, but rather something that was carefully created to make a statement of both style and refinement with an edgy yet not overly stated look.

Meli melo jeans have a modern, timeless, tailored style with vintage washes and finishes. From its ultra feminine slacks to its traditional five-pocket, méli-mélo strikes the perfect balance between old and new, and between tailored and relaxed.

Meli Melo’s approach to design is to take elements it likes and combine them, paying close attention to finishing details and focusing on a perfect fit while using only materials that offer the quality and level of refinement it wants for the collections. It mainly uses Japanese and Italian denims, with some American denims for selected pieces and depending on the desired look.

Meli melo features two categories: a basic 5-pocket and fashion bodies. The fashion bodies are inspired by high end fashion but have the casual look of denim. For its light weight denims slacks meli melo uses 7-10 oz denims in stretch, poly blends and 100% cotton. The lighter weight fabric gives the slack pant movement, and achieves the flowy, effortless look and soft feel that sets it apart from your typical denim pants. The fabric has a soft hand. The 5-pocket category features 11-13 oz denim in both stretch and rigid. Thewashes are used to create a natural vintage look.

The fit is extremely flattering - The constant comment about the jeans is that "the butt looks really good". Waistbands are silk-lined and the washable silks come from Spain, Italy and France. This refined detail does not only make a fashion statement when you wear it but also makes one hanging in your closet!
